Meru Hills is a family-run lifelong dream conceived from our desire to give back to the community our personal experiences accumulated during our travels around the world. Our aim is to bring our guests closer to nature and experience the beauty of the rural environment, with its rich culture, unique heritage and traditions. We also organize tailor made adventures for you to discover the many hidden gems of the area and its surroundings.

Meru Hills is located on the slopes of Nyambene Range at an altitude of 4,000 feet, at the foot of Mount Kenya overlooking the sacred Kuani. It is situated approximately 30 miles north of the equator on 10 acres of farm-land with a fully-grown orchard, herbal trees, medicinal plants, fruit & vegetable gardens, fish ponds, a big apiary of more than 20 beehives, dairy cattle, chicken, geese, turkey, goats and sheep.
The farm has over time developed a unique eco-system replete with rare birds and other small wild life that have come to find refuge.
Meru Hills is located approximately 250km North from Nairobi with easy access by road or air. We provide private transport from Nairobi-Jomo Kenyatta International Airport to Meru Hills (return trips).
We host family getaways, corporate team-building & training and spiritual retreats for small groups of people, and welcome visitors from around the world. We are open all year round.
Double-bedrooms are 50$ per night, breakfast included. Evening dinners are available for 15$ per person.
Flights from Nairobi to Isiolo airport are available, which is 20 minutes drive from the farm. We organize 4-7 day tours with half board or full board options at the guesthouse and external tours.
All food is fresh and organically sourced from the farm and within the local community.
Personalized tours can be organized to the national parks, heritage sites as well as visits to interact and see how the local community lives. (Meru National Park (45minutes drive), Samburu National Park (30 minutes drive), Mt. Kenya National Park (70 minutes drive), the world renowned Lewa Downs Conservancy (40 minutes drive) with its unique annual run in the wild marathon, the historic Igombe Crater (40 minute drive), the Ngare Ndare Conservancy (50 minutes drive), the Ngaiya forest (60 minutes drive) for bird watching, rare butterflies and unique tree species, the Njuri Ncheke shrine (15 minutes), the snake park (20 minutes drive) the elephant trails and many other tourist sites located within a few kilometres of the Farm Stay.
